Murder, rape, kidnapping, and misogyny. Usually not everyday subjects that we discuss at the dinner table. Nonetheless, these are the most common themes in Scandinavian crime fiction which over the last 20 years has gained massive popularity throughout the world. In his talk, Morten Rasmussen will explore what it is that is so captivating about this genre, that focuses just as much on the everyday lives of depressed police officers as on extremely violent crimes.
